BGS Divizia de Securitate becomes the latest company in Romania to allow customers to pay their bills at PayPoint

Bucharest, 29 July 2014 – PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator, and BGS Group have joined together to enable customers of BGS Divizia de Securitate to pay their bills at PayPoint’s neighbourhood shops. The addition of BGS’ home and commercial security services, its first security company, to its portfolio of bill payments is yet another innovation for PayPoint as it continues to add new types of payments that can be made in a retail environment. The new partnership is further evidence of how PayPoint is achieving its objective of meeting consumer needs by offering the widest possible range of payment opportunities in its store network. In order to make a payment, BGS customers take the bill to the nearest shop with a PayPoint terminal, where the shop assistant will scan the barcode printed on the bill, take the customer’s cash payment and give the customer a receipt with the details of the transaction (date, amount, location etc). Paying through PayPoint is quick, safe and there are no fees. “Every time we sign up another company for our bill payments service, we are helping to simplify consumers’ lives by enabling them to pay their bills close to home without waiting in queues. The new partnership extends the breadth of bills that can be paid through PayPoint in stores throughtout the country. Along with the services provided by BGS, PayPoint enables consumers to make a wide range of payments, including for their road tax, utilities, mobile phone plans, internet or cable TV. They can also top up their prepaid mobile phone, pay for their road tax and even transfer money both internally and internationally, at selected PayPoint locations.
