PayPoint services now available in Cora hypermarkets in Romania
Bucharest, 8 October 2014 – PayPoint Romania’s services are now available in Cora’s network of hypermakets across Romania, enabling Cora’s customers to use PayPoint for quick and easy payments of an extensive assortment of bills for utilities, electricity, mobile phone plans, internet or cable TV, as well as to purchase mobile phone top-ups. Making payments at PayPoint in Cora hypermarkets is not conditional on making a purchase from the stores and there are no additional fees. Each of the 12 Cora hypermarkets throughout the country have a signposted counter where customers tell the operator what type of transaction they wish to make and hand over the cash to receive a receipt, issued by the PayPoint terminal, to confirm the payment. The service is available to customers seven days a week, between 8.00am and 10.00pm. ”This is a major leap forward in increasing the availability of the PayPoint service to as much of the population as possible across the country, as well as marking our entry into hypermarkets. It has always been our objective to provide consumers with a wide range of services close to where they live and shop - and this agreement with Cora definitely helps us to do that. We have no doubt that Cora’s customers will certainly welcome being able to pay their bills quickly and easily along with their weekly shopping,” declared Mugur Dogariu, Managing Director of PayPoint Romania. ”Through its ‘Benefits Point’, cora keeps bringing in convenient new facilities for its customers. We know that people are very busy and so we want them to know that when they come to cora, they don’t have to come just to do their weekly shopping, they can also do many other things, such as paying bills through PayPoint. By adding this new service, cora is developing its concept of ‘everything under one roof’,” declared Marilena Cirsteanu of cora’s Benefits Point and cora Card.
