Avon bills in Romania can now be paid through PayPoint

Bucharest, January 17, 2013 – PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator in Romania, has signed a partnership agreement with Avon Romania, the market leader of the Romanian cosmetics sector. Avon issues bills to its consultants for the sales they have made to their customers. Following this agreement, Avon consultants can pay the bills in more than 7,000 PayPoint stores (minimarkets, supermarkets, neighbourhood stores) all over the country. “As one of Romania’s largest direct sales companies, Avon Romania is an important business partner for us, We look forward to seeing Avon consultants coming to pay their bills through PayPoint terminals in neighbourhood stores and hope that they will also take the opportunity to use the other services available through our terminals,” said Mugur Dogariu, Managing Director of PayPoint Romania. The Avon consultant simply goes to any shop with a PayPoint terminal, where the shop assistant will scan the barcode on the bill. The transaction is processed within seconds. The agent pays the value of the bill in cash and receives a receipt with all the details of the transaction on it (payment date, amount, location, etc). At the same time as paying the Avon bill, the consultants can also pay their other utility bills, taking advantage of the great flexibility of the PayPoint service, particularly the long opening hours of the shops where they are located as most are open from early in the morning to late at night, seven days a week.
