Apa Nova Ploieşti and Hidro Prahova customers can now pay their bills through the PayPoint Romania retail network
You can now pay your water bill a few blocks away Bucharest, 12 November 2012 – PayPoint Romania, one of the main cash payment operators in Romania, has signed agreements with the two water and sewage companies in Ploieşti city and Prahova county, Apa Nova Ploieşti and Hidro Prahova, enabling their customers to pay their water and sewage bills at PayPoint’s local stores at no additional cost. Making payments through PayPoint is simple, safe and convenient: customers simply take their bill to the nearest shop with a PayPoint terminal, where the shop assistant scans the barcode on the bill. PayPoint processes the transaction in seconds. The customer hands over the cash value of the bill and, when payment is confirmed on the terminal, receives a receipt containing all the details of the transaction (the day of the payment, the sum, the location, the provider, etc). ”We are very pleased to extend further our client portfolio by adding these important utility suppliers, Apa Nova Ploieşti and Hidro Prahova, and to offer their customers in Ploiesti and Prahova a fast, safe and secure payment method. We have always seen Ploiesti city and Prahova county as priorities in terms of development as people there have shown they are willing to use the efficient payment method we offer. More than 170,000 bills are already paid via PayPoint each month in Prahava county, and we expect to see even greater use of our service as people start paying their water bills through us,” said Mugur Dogariu, Managing Director PayPoint România. “Constant improvement in the quality of our services is one of Apa Nova Ploiesti key objectives, and we are achieving that by increasing the range of methods that our customers can pay their bills by allowing them to pay through PayPoint, at no additional cost. Carmen Vitelar, Commercial Director Hidro Prahova, said: “We want to offer our customers as many payment options as possible so this agreement with PayPoint is an important step for us, as it makes bill payment more convenient for our customers, in local stores where they regularly shop.” In Ploiesti city, there are 65 PayPoint branded stores, while in Prahova County as a whole, there are almost 400 PayPoint terminals in minimarkets, supermarkets and neighbourhood stores.
