Top-ups for Lycamobile’s prepaid cards, now available in over 9,200 PayPoint stores
Bucharest, 28 October 2015 - PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator in Romania has signed an agreement with Lycamobile. Lycamobile is the world’s biggest international mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and provides services to 14 million customers across 20 countries. The low-cost, high-quality data and voice services offered by the company enable its customers to connect with their friends and family around the world. To top-up their credit, Lycamobile customers can go to any of the 9,200-plus PayPoint partner stores and request a voucher of the desired value from the store. The transaction is quick and easy, the payment is done in cash and the consumer receives a voucher with the top-up code. “PayPoint was already partnering with the main telecom providers in Romania, and the agreement with Lycamobile allows us to expand the services offered in this segment. Given the large number of Romanians whose loved ones live abroad, we are happy to make it easier for them to keep in touch. This agreement extends the range of services PayPoint is offering its consumers. Along with topping up prepaid cards, through PayPoint’s terminals consumers may also pay: utility bills (electricity, natural gas, water, sewerage etc), their road tax, security services, plane tickets, telecoms, internet and cable TV, installments as well as make domestic and international money transfers in select PayPoint stores.
