PayPoint Romania and Restart Energy announce new partnership

Bucharest, 27 April 2016 – PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator in Romania, announces a partnership with Restart Energy, a new partner from the energy supplying industry. Restart Energy clients will be able to pay their electricity bills quickly and securely through PayPoint’s payment points throughout Romania.

The PayPoint method for paying bills issued by Restart Energy is simple, secure and convenient. Customers simply go to their nearest PayPoint store with their barcoded bill and mention what type of payment they wish to make. After scanning the barcode and making the payment to the shop assistant, in cash, the customer receives a receipt with all the transaction details (date, amount etc.). The whole operation is very quick and is free for customers to use.

As part of Armand Group, present in the renewable energy market since 2009, Restart Energy is a company determined to bring a substantial change in the way energy and natural gas are supplied in Romania. In this context, the partnership with PayPoint Romania comes as a response to the need to give consumers a simple, secure, quick and always available method of payment. 

Along with paying bills issued by Restart Energy, customers can also use PayPoint terminals for paying utility bills (gas, sanitation, water, etc), mobile phone plans, internet or cable TV, security services, plane tickets and road tax, as well as buy mobile phone top-ups and even transfer money, both internally and internationally, at selected PayPoint locations.
