Nova Apaserv customers can now pay their bills through PayPoint Romania
Bucharest, 29 March 2013 - People in Botosani have a new method for paying for their water services from Nova ApaServ Company, the supplier of water systems and sanitation services in Botoşani county. Following an agreement between Nova ApaServ, and PayPoint Romania, the main retail-based cash and mobile payment operator in Romania, Nova ApaServ’s customers can pay their bills at any of the 180 local shops with PayPoint facilities all over the county. Payment at PayPoint is simple, safe and comfortable: the customer simply takes the bill to the nearest store with a PayPoint terminal, which can be identified by its yellow and purple logo. The shop assistant scans the barcode on the bill, the customer hands over the value of the bill in cash and receives a receipt with details of the transaction on it (date, amount, location, service provider’s name, etc.). The operation lasts only few moments, considerably reducing the time it has previously taken people to pay their bills. In the municipality of Botoşani, PayPoint has 44 terminals located in minimarkets, supermarkets and neighbourhood stores, all with extended opening hours. More PayPoint terminals can be found in other villages and towns in Botoşani County, making it easier for their residents to pay their bills. Customers can find their nearest PayPoint store online at www.paypoint.com/romania by simply entering the names of their town and street on the “Agent Locator” and the map will show the nearest PayPoint terminals. ”We are very pleased to have entered this partnership with Nova ApaServ. The fact that we are already processing 25,000 transactions each month through PayPoint terminals all over the county proves that people in Botoşani county trust this method of payment. Our services are available in almost 90% of the large villages in Botoşani county and we believe that more and more people in Botoşani will choose to pay their bills through PayPoint,” said Mugur Dogariu, Managing Director PayPoint Romania. Commenting on the partnership with PayPoint, Gabriel Cîrlan, General Manager of Compania Nova ApaServ, said: ”We have signed this partnership with PayPoint Romania because we could see that it would give us a very good opportunity to improve our customers’ experience, especially of those with a busy schedule, who appreciate that this method of payment saves them a lot of time.” As well as bills issued by Nova ApaServ company, people living in Botoşani can pay their bills for gas, electricity, mobile phones, internet and cable through PayPoint terminals. They can also pay instalments for some financial services, top up the credit on their mobile phone and even, in selected PayPoint stores, make money transfers within Romania and internationally.
